Guest Blog: Sustainable Fashion

Hi! Our names our Saira and Megan and we are interns working for Armen Elliott Photography.  Today we are taking over her blog!
For our high school senior post term project we wanted to gain experience in photography and learn how to turn our passions into a career.  We had the privilege of working with Armen Elliott herself, her equipment, and her studio.

The first part of our internship was centered around the concept of sustainable fashion.  During the past few days we have created and photographed a dress  made entirely out of newspaper, duct tape, and tulle. We also took a trip to a local thrift store to explore the idea of recycling clothing and accessories.  We purchased about five items each and updated them using elements from our personal wardrobes to create fun and fresh outfits. Here's a link to a directory of nationwide creative-reuse centers.

Baby Photo Session with Adorable Abigail

Abigail surprised her parents (and everyone else) by showing up one month earlier than expected! She's pretty and petite and very portable.  I felt so fortunate to have Abby and her adoring parents in my studio so early in her life.  A baby's features change quickly and it's so important to document them in those early months and years. Engagement Photo Session at Lockridge Furnace Park

These bright bio majors both work the night shift at a major pharmaceutical company and made a rare daytime appearance for their engagement session at my favorite Lehigh County Park, Lockridge Furnace.  Tegan and Jason met over a card game and even though she may have won the game, he won her heart.  I can't wait to photograph this adorable couple's wedding next year!

Tenth Wedding Anniversary Photo Session

Rosalind and Ron decided to do something unusual to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary: they scheduled a photo session that recaptured the warmth of that "June Wedding" feeling.  Here are some images from my delightful afternoon session with this charming couple.

Bucks County Wedding at New Hope's Holly Hedge Estate

Elizabeth and Brendan had a lovely Alice-in-Wonderland themed wedding at Holly Hedge Estate this past weekend.
Teacups, saucers and teapots were incorporated in the large courtyard fountain arrangement.

Floral designer, Mark Bryan, used Elizabeth's collection of teapots, cups and saucers as centerpieces, filling them with beautiful arrays of flowers.

Guests picked up seat cards and were assigned to a table named after a character in Lewis Carroll's book.
